Choose Redemption
We know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. Romans 8:28 NLT
This is not how this should have gone but I know God’s got me and I’m gonna follow Him.
For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last he will stand upon the earth. Job 19:25 ESV
Choosing redemption is actually an option, and because of Jesus we get to choose it.
Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. Psalm 139:16 NLT
God saying He laid it out didn’t take away the need for David to live it out!
God doesn’t have to cause the trouble to redeem it!
You may be forgotten by people, but you’re never forgotten by God.
But the LORD was with Joseph and showed him steadfast love and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison. And the keeper of the prison put Joseph in charge of all the prisoners who were in the prison. Whatever was done there, he was the one who did it. Genesis 39:21 ESV
Justifying broken choices, actions, or attitudes because of past hurt is choosing ruin over redemption.
Don't you see, you planned evil against me but God used those same plans for my good, as you see all around you right now, life for many people. Genesis 50:20 MSG
Redemption looks like:
Healing,
Forgiveness,
Compassion
Completeness
Contentment
I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at length you have revived your concern for me. You were indeed concerned for me, but you had no opportunity. Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me. Philippians 4:10-13 ESV
