Live By Faith

What if we choose what God wills, how would life live then?

Ever since I first heard of your strong faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for God’s people everywhere, I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly. Ephesians 1:15-16 NLT

But I do more than thank, I ask. I ask the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory, to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally, your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he has for Christians, oh, the utter extravagance of his work in us who trust him, endless energy, boundless strength! Ephesians 1:17-19 MSG

Look at the proud! They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked. But the just shall live by his faith. Habakkuk 2:4 NLT

Faith lived out looks like faithfully following God.

If you love me / believe I am who I say I am, follow my instructions / keep my commandments…

Faith lived out won’t be the most popular path.

The Spirit makes it clear that as time goes on, some are going to give up on the faith and chase after demonic illusions put forth by professional liars. These liars have lied so well and for so long that they've lost their capacity for truth. 1 Timothy 4:1-2 MSG

Compromised convicitions shouldn’t be Christianity’s most common expression.

How blessed is the one who does not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand in the pathway with sinners, or sit in the assembly of scoffers! Instead he finds pleasure in obeying the LORDʼs commands; he meditates on his commands day and night. He is like a tree planted by flowing streams; it yields its fruit at the proper time. Psalm 1:1-3 NET

Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of Jesus, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:58 ESV

Faith lived out looks like Joy in every season

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace in believing as you trust in him.. Romans 15:13 NLT

Joy is one of this life’s most indispensable gifts.

You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy. Psalm 16:11 ESV

Hope marks the life lived by faith

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace in believing as you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 NLT

Generosity marks the the life lived by faith

Not fear but faith, not hoarding but helping - - Different Economy…

Make sure you don't take things for granted and go slack in working for the common good; share what you have with others. God takes particular pleasure in acts of worship, a different kind of “sacrifice" that take place in kitchen and workplace and on the streets. Hebrews 13:16 MSG

The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.
2 Corinthians 9:6-8 ESV

Love marks the life lived by faith.

The life lived by faith will draw on God’s capacity to love.

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20 ESV
