Intercessory Prayer

1.  Intercession is not only about requesting God’s intervention but also about aligning our hearts with His. It is an act of selflessness, compassion, and faith, as we stand in the gap for others.”

If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you” (John 15:7).

2. Intercession extends beyond our immediate surroundings, reaching into the lives of others and shaping their destinies.

Psalm 106:23

“Therefore He said that He would destroy them, had not Moses His chosen one stood before Him in the breach, to turn away His wrath, lest He destroy them.”

3. Prayer can influence God’s action when prayer aligns with God’s righteousness, compassion, and purpose.

So it was that, when God destroyed the cities of the valley, God remembered Abraham and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow when he overthrew the cities in which Lot had lived. Genesis 19:29

4. Jesus Intercedes for us.

Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. Romans 8:34
