Finding the right direction has everything to do with discerning who and who not to follow.

When a blind man leads a blind man, they both end up in the ditch. Matthew 15:14 MSG

We first have to do some unfollowing before we can effectively follow Jesus.

Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. Matthew 16:24 ESV

Competing voices always add to the confusion.

I insist and God backs me up on this that there be no going along with the crowd, the empty-headed, mindless crowd. They've refused for so long to deal with God that they've lost touch not only with God but with reality itself. They can't think straight anymore… Ephesians 4:17-19 MSG

Following Jesus has as much to do with the way we walk as it does with where we’re going.

You learned Christ! My assumption is that you have paid careful attention to him, been well instructed in the truth precisely as we have it in Jesus. Since, then, we do not have the excuse of ignorance, everything and I do mean everything connected with that old way of life has to go. It's rotten through and through. Get rid of it! And then take on an entirely new way of life a God fashioned life, a life renewed from the inside and working itself into your conduct as God accurately reproduces his character in you. Ephesians 4:20-23 MSG

Jesus should have the first and final say in what we say and how we say it!

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Romans 12:2 NLT

Don’t love the world's ways. Don't love the world's goods. Love of the world squeezes out love for the Father. Practically everything that goes on in the world, wanting your own way, wanting everything for yourself, wanting to appear important, has nothing to do with the Father. It just isolates you from him. 1 John 2:15-16 MSG

Your loudest communication comes from your life not your lips.

Kindness and compassion count more than words where the math matters most to God!

The only way, only truth, and only life for this journey is found in Jesus.

Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. Colossians 3:12 ESV - Let who we are and we what we do point others to Jesus…

When you wholeheartedly follow Jesus you will lead invariably lead others to Him!

Anyone who wants to serve me must follow me, because my servants must be where I am. And the Father will honor anyone who serves me. John 12:26 NLT
