So let's not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don't give up, or quit. Galatians 6:9 MSG

The fuel for following comes from Jesus and nowhere else. (sustenance for steadfastness)

By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. 2 Peter 1:3 NLT

Those who wait upon God get fresh strength. They spread their wings and soar like eagles, They run and don't get tired, they walk and don't lag behind. Isaiah 40:31 MSG

Joy

May the God of hope fill you up with joy, fill you up with peace, so that your believing lives, filled with the life-giving energy of the Holy Spirit, will brim over with hope! Romans 15:13 MSG

Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Romans 12:12 ESV

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Philippians 4:4 ESV

The joy of the Lord is my strength. Nehemiah 8:10 ESV

Humility

Humility isn’t thinking less of self but thinking of self less.

But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” James 4:6 ESV

Choosing a prideful know-it-all attitude is sure way to empty your life of the fuel for following.

Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you. 1 Peter 5:6 ESV
