With Us in Our Waiting

What I love most about Christmas is that’s is all about Immanuel!

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14 NIV

As he considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. “Joseph, son of David,” the angel said, “do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. For the child within her was conceived by the Holy Spirit. And she will have a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” All of this occurred to fulfill the Lord’s message through his prophet: “Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means ‘God is with us.’” Matthew 1:20-23 NLT

Jesus came as Immanuel to personally deliver the present of God’s presence.

Advent - - The arrival of someone or something.

Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord! Psalm 27:14 ESV

Immanuel is God with us in our waiting!

We find hope in the prophets promise that Jesus is coming!

Maintaining hope in your waiting is huge for your heart!

If we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. Romans 8:25 ESV

He’s not just God with us, He’s God through us.

It is a huge blessing to represent the heart and hope of Immanuel in our world.
