Truth about Trust
We’re so glad you are here! Thanks for checking out Sunday's message!
-- SUNDAY'S NOTES --
2 Cor. 5:7(NKJ) says For we walk by faith, not by sight.
Pro. 3:5 (nkjv) Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;
2 Tim 1:12(nkjv)For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.
Takeaway:Trust is making the willful choice to Center your life slap dab in the middle of Jesus. Putting your everything in His hands!
I have come to know that Trust and Surrender are inseparable! (Not a takeaway-Just a deep truth)
Job 1:20(niv) At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship
Job 13:15a(nkjv) Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him.
Luke 22:42(nkjv)“Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.”
Takeaway:To truly walk in Trust that brings peace to your thoughts, to your fears, to your life will require surrender.
Philippians 4:6,7(nkjv) Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Takeaway: As we walk in Faith and Trust that is surrendered to Gods will, We will experience a supernatural peace that will Guard our hearts and our minds as we keep them centered on Jesus!
Poem:
Our human hearts grow fearful
Mostly of the unknown,
A deep unsettled dread of darkness
Of a future not yet shown.
A fear that forces each of us
To believe in what we know,
To believe in who He says He is
A belief that makes us grow.
It is faith that fights for freedom
From the fears that creep inside,
It’s a faith that shows the next step
In fully trusting we can abide.
To step onto the path of trust
Is laying down your all,
It’s waving high the white flag
It’s answering a higher call.
It’s crying out “Your will be done”
Not an ounce of me,
Whatever lies before my steps
Will be glorious to see
For I know your way is better
To prosper through the pain,
To cry and sow to grieve and grow
Clothed in Holy Gain.
And the fruit is Peace that’s constant
A Peace so hard to understand,
A Peace that comes from knowing
You are centered in Jesus’ hand.
And now I lay me down to sleep
Worry gone away,
The presence of my Jesus
Forever here to stay!
