Walk by Faith

It takes faith to follow God.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1 NKJV

Waiting for God’s will without faith is like breathing without inhaling.

Those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 NKJV

The substance of hope is the faith I have in who God is, what He has promised, and how He loves me!

A lot of faith in nothing significant or faith-worthy is worthless, but even a relatively small amount of faith in God is priceless.

The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you. Luke 17:5 NLT

Put the faith you have in our great big God and see God work.

Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17 NKJV

Faith attaches us to what is rightfully ours in the Lord.

If you put your faith in who God is, you’ll want and get what God wills, and be glad you did!

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20 ESV

True faith will inspire and empower a persistent will to follow God.

To one who has faith, no explanation is necessary. To one without faith, no explanation is possible.

By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible. Hebrews 11:3 ESV

What defines our faith is what we do not how we feel.

Faith unlocks an invisible realm of relationship with God that is priceless and powerful.

It's impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him. Hebrews 11:6 MSG


Faith is the substance
That makes hope real
Anchored in our sovereign Lord

It’s the blessed assurance
That Jesus is mine
And He has a plan to restore

Even when I can’t see
I’ll trust and rely
On my history of Him coming through

Faith not in my faith
But faith in His love
To follow is what I will do.
