What a Friend

This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you.  John 15:12 NLT

Because of Jesus we don’t have to believe the enemies lies or live lost, and that’s the gospel. 

Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Mark 16:15 ESV

Thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Cor.15:57 NLT

Jesus wills to bring salvation to everyone, everywhere, and in every situation. 

Teacher,” they said to Jesus, “this woman was caught in the act of adultery. The law of Moses says to stone her. What do you say?” They were trying to trap him into saying something they could use against him, but Jesus stooped down and wrote in the dust with his finger. They kept demanding an answer, so he stood up again and said, “All right, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!” Then he stooped down again and wrote in the dust. When the accusers heard this, they slipped away one by one, beginning with the oldest, until only Jesus was left in the middle of the crowd with the woman. Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?” “No, Lord,” she said. And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.” John 8:4-11 NLT

Jesus didn’t come to condemn or placate, but to pardon and empower. 

God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. Romans 5:8 NLT 

The heart of the gospel is the heart Jesus has for you and me. 

Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness, and he was called a friend of God. James 2:23 ESV  

The King of cosmos, wants to be your closest friend.

Jesus loves us commoners, but He’s not common, nor is his capacity for compassion limited like ours. 

Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.
