The King & His Kingdom

Our King has a Kingdom.

His is an eternal kingdom with an incredible earthly impact!

The kingdom of God is in the midst of you. Luke 17:21 ESV

So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Acts 1:6-8 ESV

Our declaration of allegiance to the King, comes with the power to represent His Kingdom.

Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:9-10 NASB

When His will and wisdom become our most important plans and priorities, His Kingdom has come.

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:3 ESV

He’s a different kind King with a different kind of Kingdom.

His Kingdom has different kind of Treasure.

Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.
Matthew 6:19-21NLT

Earthly treasures become idols when eternal treasures are marginalized or ignored.

His Kingdom has a different Vision.

Your eye is like a lamp that provides light for your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is filled with light. But when your eye is unhealthy, your whole body is filled with darkness. And if the light you think you have is actually darkness, how deep that darkness is! Matthew 6:22-23 NLT

His Kingdom has a different Provision.

So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. Matthew 6:31-33 NLT

Dream big, work hard, rest well, and gladly give everything for the King and His Kingdom.

The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls, who, on finding one pearl of great value, went and sold all that he had and bought it. Matthew 13:44-46 ESV

A man is no fool to give up what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose. Jim Elliot

He put another parable before them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field. It is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is larger than all the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.” Matthew 13:31-32 ESV
